Survey of Directing - A brief overview of various directors, their theories, and their thoughts on different theatre styles.
Scene Design 2 - A class meant to enhance research, concept design, and model building skills as scenic designers.
Advanced Lighting Design - A more in-depth look at the design process in lighting from research, to angle/color concepts and model lighting, to putting a plot into Vectorworks
Advanced Rendering - 2 classes, 1 in Photoshop and 1 in Black and White/Charcoal - Classes meant to teach different forms on media used in rendering for theatre. Photoshop Rendering consisted of various assignments teaching the different uses of Photoshop, and Black and White Rendering consisted of weekly drawings at home with in-class figure drawings of models.
Lower Division Courses:
Tech Theatre and Graphics - A course based on learning techniques of hand drafting as well as the beginning necessities of Vectorworks.
Stage Lighting - The beginning theories and techniques for lighting the stage as well as a lab teaching the mechanical and technical parts of hanging, troubleshooting, and working with stage lights.
Scene Design 1 and Costume Design 1 - Both courses were used to teach and enhance our skills in the necessities of scenic and costume designing. This included renderings (colored pencil for Costumes and Vectorworks for Scenic) as well as model building in Scene Design.
